AS REPORTED in the Telegraph today, ‘BBC Radio 4 has lost hundreds of thousands of listeners amid a slump in the Today programme audience’.
This once flagship current affairs programme has lost around 375,000 weekday listeners since October last year, contributing to an overall shrinking in audience numbers for Radio 4, which has across all its programmes lost 477,000 listeners. It comes as no surprise. The BBC is hopelessly lost in its bias as we have reported endlessly over the years.
It raises the question of whether Today‘s Editor, Owenna Griffiths, and its woke, smug and tiresome presenters – Justin Webb, Mishal Husain, Nick Robinson, Martha Kearney and Amol Rajan – will ever learn. Possibly never, not even when the last of its listeners has tuned out. I did years ago, and so have most informed, thinking people that I know. Perhaps the reckoning approaches for the Corporation.
