A government legally enforcing insanity

MY first article for The Conservative Woman featured the G K Chesterton quote: ‘It’s the first effect of not believing in God that you lose your common sense.’ I see the truth of this statement on a societal level, but also in my own bitter experience of Godless existence.

In the time since that first article, nothing has made me question Chesterton’s wisdom. And it got a big fat confirmation when I read some abhorrent news coming out of Canada.

A father, given the name ‘Clark’, was told by the Supreme Court of British Columbia that if he continued to call his 14-year-old daughter a girl he would be guilty of ‘family violence’. He would be liable to immediate arrest if a police officer had ‘reasonable’ grounds to suspect he had referred to her as a girl in private or public.

This follows a court ruling, reported in The Conservative Woman in March, that she can have testosterone injections against his wishes so that she can transition. The child’s mother, with whom Clark has shared custody after their divorce, supports the child’s belief that she is a boy, but not the medical treatment. His daughter’s school began referring to her as a boy when she was 12, against his wishes and behind his back.

Chilling, sinister, insidious, authoritarian, evil: take your pick. There are no words to describe the utter insanity of this story. No words to describe the evil at play, the confusion being sown, the destruction being wrought, the lives being ruined. And all in the name of ‘progress’.

At the age of 14 you may not drink, smoke, vote, join the Army, have sex or drive, and yet you may decide to have hormonal therapy that will affect you for the rest of your life. And now, against a parent’s stated wishes.

Why does some random doctor know what’s best for your child over you? Why does a judge? Of course, abuse happens in the home and as a society we ought to be vigilant, but this is complete and utter overreach from the authorities. It’s authoritarian.

To equate speech with ‘family violence’ is an extremely worrying trend. For, if you can call speech violence, then you can repay it with violence. Michael Knowles explains the danger of this argument in this video.

God is the foundation upon which a healthy society is built. He provides us with objective reality, right and wrong, true or false. He gives meaning to our lives. His existence is true, so common sense flows when He takes His rightful place. But God has been discarded and this is the result: a government legally enforcing insanity.

Dostoevsky knew this, Nietzsche knew this, Camus knew this. Once God is denied, chaos reigns. Society disintegrates because it is built on sand and people have to make truth and reality for themselves.

Nietzsche believed that without God the ‘ubermensch’ would become the ultimate goal for humanity, a race of men who would create for themselves morality. Well, now they create for themselves their own reality, their own truth, their own gender. They bend the world to their will and we have to go along with it.

What a world we are living in. The facts, in this case, say more than I possibly can. This, dear readers, is progress. That a man can be arrested, accused of ‘family violence’ because he believes his daughter is still a girl, is progress. This is the brave new world that our brilliant leaders have created.

So intent are they on proving their genius, and their originality, that they will argue black is white and male is female. But as Nassim Nicholas Taleb says, they have no skin in the game, and they never reap the whirlwind of their mad social engineering. It’s up to us, the little guys, to sift through the confusion and chaos.
