Believe in faith, flag and family? The trolls are coming for you

OUR cultural revolution continues apace. Wherever you go, town or country, radical gender and race ideology is imposed by identity group activists and public institutions, backed by laws and politicised policing. Crimes are created to ensure the normalisation of progressive ideology. Almost any dissent can result in dismissal by an employer, ostracising by fickle friends, or prosecution. But silence is hard to maintain when they are coming for your kids.

A crime, as classed by police, was committed on Saturday June 10 at the Gloucester Quays shopping mall. The Daily Mail reported that boards promoting ‘Pride’ were ‘defaced with homophobic graffiti’. The latest version of the rainbow ensign is an eyesore, adding pink graffiti and blue lines for transgenderism, black and brown to confront white supremacy, and a circle for intersex. Gay people who prefer the original flag are likely to be derided as outmoded if not bigoted (a fate suffered by feminists opposing the trans agenda).

The messages daubed on the LGBT propaganda were not targeting any person or inciting violence. ‘We don’t want this crap’ is surely just an opinion. ‘Protect the kids from this evil’ may be controversial and insensitive, but nobody should have a right not to be offended.  Gloucestershire Constabulary, however, is urgently investigating, ‘county hate crime co-ordinator’ PC Steph Lawrence warning: ‘We will not stand for this harmful rhetoric or hateful behaviour which aims to intimidate and hurt our communities.’

For intimidation, this public servant should look in the mirror. It is entirely legitimate for people to have differing opinions on LGBTQ+. Personally, I believe in citizens’ rights to do what they want in their private lives (within certain limits) and that to deny the existence of homosexuality is futile. I have friends and family in that category, and as a mental health lecturer I have presented on the historical failure of penal and psychiatric systems in criminalising or medicalising same-sex attraction.

Protecting personal liberties, however, is not the purpose of the constant barrage of LGBT hype. The Black Lives Matter fervour in 2020 was not really concerned with ordinary black people’s lives. The aim is to destroy all remnants of traditional society (a BLM manifesto demanded an end to the nuclear family). Footballers with an ounce of critical faculties complained that BLM was an extremist political movement, but to no avail. Similarly, the relentless advance of LGBT dogma is an expression of cultural Marxism, which the powers-that-be exploit to divide and rule. It is possible that the Gloucester incident was a ‘false flag’ simultaneously to antagonise and scare people from speaking out.

Progressive ideology is always presented in the virtuous themes of tolerance and inclusivity, although in reality it is harshly intolerant and exclusive. Ordinary people are forced into positive acceptance and even to participate in promoting a movement that they privately perceive as perverse and dangerous.

As I write, a news item flashes on my screen. Another local authority has painted over a pedestrian crossing in Pride colours.  This time it is Hounslow, heavily populated by Asians, many of whom retain traditional social values. The Daily Telegraph article shows about a dozen white middle-class LGBT supporters at the unveiling. The council spent £50,000 on this vanity while basic services are being cut back. This is trolling, and the target is anyone who remains ensconced in the traditional bonds of faith, flag and family. In Regent Street, London, Pride month is marked by hundreds of rainbow flags draped from ropes between the lofty lampposts. The most popular reader’s comment below the Daily Mail report on the Gloucester outrage was ‘yet they would have no problem if it was the Union Jack’. How true. Apparently it is permissible, if not obligatory, to denigrate people who are white, Christian, male, Russian or gender-critical feminist.

Wasting money on rainbow crossings is bad enough, but subverting young minds in schools is more troubling. There is a sharp increase in children (particularly girls) believing that they were born in the wrong sex. A Frankenstein’s monster has been created – and a lucrative industry – in pushing transition from one gender to another, with puberty blockers and surgical butchery that will make a large number of young people infertile.

Absurdly, big brands are obsessing over LGBT, sometimes going too far and causing a damaging boycott. The phrase ‘go woke, go broke’ is reiterated, yet the programme continues regardless. Bud Light, Wickes, Nike, Ben & Jerry, the list goes on. Why would companies do this to themselves? The answer is ESG. The Environmental, Social, Governance scheme, involving the mega-bank BlackRock, is a carrot and stick. Companies are required to promote LGBT, with rewards for more ambitious marketing (such as Bud Light’s transgender beer advertisement) and sanctions for lack of commitment.

Mikki Willis’s new film Plandemic III: The Great Awakening with Mikki Willis  is based on a speech by American commentator G Edward Griffin in 1969. Warning of the totalitarian collectivism sweeping across the fabled ‘land of the free’, Griffin explained that although commonsense views are widely held, they are quashed by a combination of zealous activism and institutional power (which are on the same side). The silent majority is marginalised by a minority opposed to freedom.

The only way out of this ratchet is to gather strength in numbers and make ourselves heard in unison. Currently the largest petition on the government website, with 225,000 names, is against LGBT teaching in primary schools. Some critics regard this as grooming kids for sexual subversion, as also suggested by the sudden imperative to expose young children to drag queens. The initiator of the petition is from Bradford, and the map indicates strong support from a particular religious following.

Unlike Christians, the Islamic faithful are not cowed by secular authorities into relinquishing their moral code. Perhaps, despite our differences, Muslims can spur other Britons into action on what is surely the most important responsibility of all: protection of our children, who are being led astray by the Pied Piper of transgenderism and sometimes overtly Satanic influence. Despite mainstream media messaging, opposition to divisive identity politics is a huge, untapped potential for the remoralisation of Western society.
