BORIS Johnson scored a big win in the first round of the Conservative Party leadership ballot, taking 114 votes, more than twice as many as second-placed Jeremy Hunt on 43. Michael Gove was third on 37.
Three contenders drop out. They are Mark Harper, Andrea Leadsom and Esther McVey.

The bookies are now making Johnson the 1/5 favourite to win the leadership.
