Climate change? No, lazy journalism

-

FORGET COP27! Solving the climate change problem is simple. Since it was caused by lazy, left-wing journalists, let them fix it. They had one task – to ask tough questions – and they blew it. Now that Greta Thunberg has finally come clean and declared war on ‘oppressive and racist’ capitalism, we have evidence that man-made climate change is an invented problem. The green movement were always intent on overthrowing capitalism. They hid it by claiming to save the planet from emissions of mankind’s carbon dioxide (CO2). (Mankind’s three per cent per cent of emissions are dwarfed by nature’s 97 per cent.)

Whoever controls the language controls the argument, and journalists have power over public opinion. Journalistic laziness fails to differentiate between natural or anthropogenic climate change.  As journalists fuelled the hysteria, ‘global warming’ morphed through climate ‘alarm’ to ‘catastrophe’, ‘apocalypse’ and now ‘existential threat’. ‘CO2’ has even been truncated to ‘carbon’ to make it simpler for the public to swallow. Net Zero (the plan to transform society to enable emissions increases match CO2 absorbed) is unachievable but lazy journalists have yet to challenge its proponents.

Journalists fawn before environmental royalty. Wealthy environmentalists (eg King Charles III, Al Gore, Barack Obama, Leonardo DiCaprio, John Kerry, Sir David Attenborough) spout misinformation without challenge. Sir David is frequently wrong but apologies and corrections are given minimal media space. Greta Thunberg has no life experience other than media exposure yet she is revered as a climate expert. The one challenge she received was from the American Senate when she confessed that she spoke only in metaphors. This nullified her much reported and unchallenged assertion that ‘earth is on fire’. Trustworthy reporting relies on genuine expertise.

Similarly, journalists are not challenging the indoctrination of our school children, who are taught that mankind can control the climate. The indoctrinated falsehoods include the belief that CO2 is dangerous; climate is controllable; polar bears/coral reefs are dying; forest fires are caused by emissions; fossil fuels are dangerous; water resources are depleted; meat damages the planet; and children will drown in rising oceans. Where is the observational evidence to support the hyperbole and ensure accurate teaching and learning?

The misnamed ‘science correspondents’ who never challenged the UN’s doom predictions aren’t worthy of their titles. Lazy journalists rely on the consensus which claims 97 per cent of scientists agree global warming is man-made. This was false and should never have been repeated without challenge by such prominent figures as President Obama. Science is never formed by consensus. Sceptical climate scientists are sidelined, vilified and censored by ‘fact checkers’.

The worst offender for misinformation is the United Nations.  Unchallenged it has fooled the world with its claims of global warming catastrophe. Purportedly neutral national broadcasters (including ABC, BBC, CBC, NZBC) fuel UN hype. National broadcasters are staffed with journalist advocates rather than bi-partisan reporters. As a result of their exhortations, trillions of £, $ and € are wasted chasing rainbows, pixies and unicorns in fairy dells.

The impact of lazy journalism has contributed to wrecking economies. The damage includes reducing energy capacity; over-hyping electric vehicles; restricting agricultural production; taxing aviation emissions; operating fraudulent CO2 offset schemes; abandoning fossil fuels, and pursuing unachievable Net Zero.

Journalists need to seek climate truth rather than misinformed advocacy. There is no evidence of a climate emergency. It’s a confected drama enabled by journalists who failed to challenge climate advocates. Journalists must start asking the tough questions.  And the Prime Minister must start to demand hard evidence of any direct harm caused by CO2 emissions before committing to paying ‘reparations’ for loss and damage.
