THE current level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is 0.042 per cent or 420 ppm (parts per million). There is 100,000,000,000,000,000 tons of evidence – in the form of rock – that CO2 levels in the atmosphere were as high as 1 per cent (24 times the current figure) but the Earth didn’t overheat, and life thrived.
There are no tipping points. No overheating points, no problems from CO2, and levels are so far below 1 per cent at this time that it is laughable that anyone should imagine that CO2 can be damaging to life on Earth.
The global warming scam deserves nothing but derision. To claim that CO2 is a pollutant is unimaginably wrong, particularly when vegetation begins to die at not much less than 0.02 per cent, less than half of today’s already minuscule proportion.
Here is what CO2 has done for agriculture. Fertilisers, better varieties etc did nothing to produce more food until CO2 started rising. With more CO2 our C4 photosynthesis plants grew 6.5 times more food to the acre.
Our C3 plants did over eight times more. All we have done with CO2 is light up life on the earth! We have not overheated. It is all a lie that CO2 is a problem. Quite the reverse – there is no greater blessing on this earth than increased CO2.
The sun is the principal driver of natural CO2 emissions, which follow temperature. That is evident from the circa 6ppm variation in the amount of CO2 found in the atmosphere over the course of a year as the sun passes from north to southern hemisphere, largely due to differences in land mass and the amount of vegetation.
What is the impact of CO2? As outlined by the graph below, the greenhouse gas (GHG) impact falls away exponentially and at the current level of around 420ppm the impact of a 1.6ppm increase (the 60-year average) on temperature is insignificant.

With thanks to Professor William Happer
As Professor Happer says, increasing CO2 levels from 0.04 per cent (400ppm) by two or three times causes no observable warming. Our earth is greener and our crops are richer due to the effect that we see in greenhouses. Also it would take the UK around 3,000 years to add 1.6ppm of CO2.
So why are are going to spend over £8trillion to eliminate the UK’s circa 0.00048ppm pa CO2 emissions? If global evangelists are not stopped, we will be taken back to a pre-industrial age, with increased poverty.
In the meantime China emits more CO2 in 12 days than the UK does in a year as they continue to take business from us, causing even higher emissions than before.
For anyone who is still unconvinced, it is worth noting:
- that the sun is the primary driver of climate;
- that natural CO2 levels follow global temperature;
- that IPCC predictions have been flawed;
- that there is no global warming model which factors in all drivers and feedback loops;
- the impact of solar activity and storms are not factored in;
- water vapour and clouds have a bigger GHG impact than CO2.
Can anyone suggest an optimum level for CO2, or show that IPCC models account for all of the above factors? I don’t think so.
