Corbyn: Mad or bad, certainly dangerous to know

Was Corbyn obtuse or mad to have participated in the Jewdas Seder? I find myself now having to question his sanity.

It takes no stretch of the imagination to see it as a direct slap in the face of the Jewish community, occurring as it did only a few days after his forced admission that there is anti-Semitism in his party. Let me explain.

This was no demonstration of penitence. The Passover Seder he chose to attend was run by Jewdas, a militant far-Left group. Guido Fawkes covers this sickening and disrespectful mockery of a Seder here During it, Guido reports, the recent protest against anti-Semitism was ridiculed.

The truth is that the Labour Party under Corbyn has long ceased being a comfortable home for Jews. In fact it is now a cult and no longer a functioning political party at all. The responsibility for this lies directly with Corbyn and John McDonnell’s Momentum organisation, peopled by thugs who’ve been revealed to be obsessed with the anti-Semitic archetype of the ‘powerful Jew’. They praise Corbyn for bravely battling ‘evil Right-wing and Zionist smears’. Anti-Semitism is their calling card and Corbyn must know this. The similarities to 1930s Germany are frightening.

Corbyn has long shown his propensity to be attracted to and to attract anti-Semites. No matter how many times he seeks to reassure us that he fights anti-Semitism, his actions show his words at best to be meaningless and at worst to be a lie.

Over the past two years I have written several times, here, here and here, on Corbyn, Labour and anti-Semitism. His followers were already dismissing any concerns about anti-Semitism as ‘smears’.

Today Jews are far more in fear of the threat of Left-wing anti-Semitism – epitomised by the Labour Party and its love-in with Islamism – than that of the far Right, correctly condemned as idiotic and irrelevant. Labour, by contrast, is mistakenly perceived to be the guardian of morality and righteousness and so its anti-Semitism is given credibility.

Jews who support Labour and moderate Labour councillors and MPs are dangerously deluded. By clinging to a political party which is now associated with Nazi ideology they achieve nothing but the legitimisation of anti-Semitism. From Shami Chakrabarti’s whitewash of an inquiry to Ken Livingstone’s obsession with Hitler, Labour’s anti-Semitism problem gets progressively worse.

As for Corbyn’s ‘militant anti-Semite’ claim? Most MPs manage not to join anti-Semitic Facebook groups, share platforms with Holocaust deniers, get photographed standing next to a Hezbollah flag or attend a Seder run by a group which calls for the destruction of Israel. Yet Corbyn has achieved all of this while claiming to not to be an anti-Semite.

He also has a habit of obscuring the truth. In his Passover message he blamed the brutal murder of French Holocaust survivor Mireille Knoll on far-Right extremists, despite the fact that the suspects are her Muslim neighbour and his friend.

Is he so convinced of his own virtue that he cannot see a problem? Is he suffering from a narcissistic disorder bolstered by his cult admirers and the misguided? Claims that he fought against apartheid are used to shore up the flimsy mantra that Corbyn is ‘always on the right side of history’. But most people, unless they were blatant racists, were against apartheid. If Corbyn really cared about racism he would ask Chakrabarti to step down. His judgment on anti-Semitism is obviously unsound.

Corbyn must be made to resign and his anti-Semitic cult should be consigned to the dustbin of history. If the members of the Parliamentary Labour Party cannot force this, they must resign en masse otherwise they too are guilty of legitimising anti-Semitism and allowing it to flourish. Where is their moral compass? Better for them to abandon Labour before it completely sinks into a quagmire of racism and anti-Semitism – otherwise they risk becoming even more tainted by association.

Make no mistake, Corbyn is dangerous. He is supported by a cult and not a party, and this cult is determined to propel him into No 10. History has shown over and over again what happens if cults achieve power. The Labour Party, with Corbyn at its helm, will destroy this country. Because what starts with the Jews never ends with the Jews.

Whether he was dog-whistling to his anti-Semitic supporters on Friday night or he simply found it amusing to trash Passover in such a disrespectful way, the truth either way is that he not fit to be leader of the official opposition.
