Placing London into ‘Tier Three’ would cost 150k jobs, industry leaders warn

Industry leaders have warned imposing ‘Tier Three’ restrictions on London would be a ‘killer blow’ to hundreds of businesses already struggling to survive. It has been predicted that, even without the introduction of the strictest restrictions, the hospitality sector workforce will shrink by around 25 per cent compared to pre-lockdown levels, and that this will rise to 60 per cent or lower if ‘Tier Three’ is introduced, resulting in around 150 thousand jobs being lost — Telegraph
