Ministers to investigate whether to bring in ‘Covid status certification’ for entry to pubs and resturants
After previously ruling them out, and branding them ‘discriminatory’, noting that it is ‘not how we do things in the UK’, the Government has revealed that it is investigating the issuing of vaccine passports. Without ‘Covid status certification’, individuals would be unable to enter pubs, restaurants and other venues. This would essentially make the vaccine mandatory — another Government promise broken. The Government’s ‘roadmap’ out of lockdown states: ‘The Government will review whether Covid-status certification could play a role in reopening our economy, reducing restrictions on social contact and improving safety’ — Mail
