Ministers braced for Dominic Cummings testimony on Covid crisis

Dominic Cummings will today allege that Boris Johnson once said ‘Covid is only killing 80-year-olds’ when delaying lockdown last autumn, ITV News has reported. Mr Cummings will tell MPs that the PM referred to Covid as the ‘Kung-flu’ and discussed being injected with it live on TV before he caught the virus. He will also reportedly say that the Prime Minister said when trying to hold back another lockdown late last year: ‘I’m going to be the mayor of Jaws, like I should have been in March’ – Telegraph
