Protesters draw up statues ‘hit list’ after toppling of Colston memorial
Not satisfied with the pulling down of seventeenth-century trader Edward Colston’s statue in Bristol, campaigners have drawn up a ‘hit list’ of other statues which must be brought down. This includes William Gladstone and Christopher Columbus, and comes as more than 100 Labour councils announced wide-ranging reviews of such landmarks, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan launches a Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm for the same purpose – Telegraph
