THE medical group America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) have been up against it since they established themselves to counter what they call the Covid pandemic disinformation campaign. Though they have impressive credentials, extensive front-line experience treating both Covid-19 and what they have rightly identified as ‘the risky health effects due to the lockdowns’, they have fallen foul of social media – particularly YouTube and Twitter – and have been at best ignored and at worst demonised by the MSM.
As of yesterday, the casual searcher for their organisation on Google, for example, would be led not to their website but to headlines such as this from USA Today: Fake news: ‘America’s Frontline Doctors’ video spreads mistrust.
It was the success of AFLDS’s first White Coat Summit on Capitol Hill in July that led to the trouble and their cancellation by YouTube. Combating the misinformation and propaganda on Covid ‘being fed to the American people through the corporate media, while successful treatments against Covid were being censored by Big Tech’ was their mission and led them, inexorably to being censored by the very same Big Tech.
Particular exception was taken to Dr Stella Immanuel’s widely circulated report that none of the 350 Covid patients she’d treated with hydroxychloroquine had died. The oldest was 92 and many had significant health conditions. One assumes that this was not what Big Pharma or those with interests in it wanted to hear.
The entire press conference was heavily censored, as now has been their second Summit last week. I doubt if it made the news anywhere in the UK. Why? Their fight against the destruction of doctor-led practical medicine and for ‘Americans’ right to use accurate information to make decisions about their own care, to fight the disease and to live‘ sounds innocuous enough. It should be popular in a free society. But if proof were needed of ‘the large and powerful special interests that would seek to push financial and political agendas above patient interests’ that AFLDS seek to challenge, it came with the censorship, smearing and determined suppression of their ‘alternative narrative’, casting them as irresponsible and as a threat to society. So successful has this been that it is hard to find any broadcast discussion of or with these medical experts on either social or mainstream outlets.
Late on Wednesday night I finally found one, hosted by Dr Ron Paul on his Liberty Channel, Why Did They Censor ‘America’s Frontline Doctors’? in which he asks: ‘Why are alternate scientific views held by bona fide doctors and scientists not allowed in the United States?’ Surely doctors with as huge experience as these – who have gone to Columbia Uni medical school – with such credentials deserve a hearing and ‘we should be able to listen to what they have to say. We might disagree, but why the effort to just disappear them?’
You can find the video extract here.
Do bear with his slightly rambling start because it’s a good discussion and Dr Ron and his guest share some interesting observations – not least on the attempt to discredit some of these exceptionally talented, able and articulate doctors (the pride of America in any other era) on the grounds of their conservatism and religious beliefs.
As ‘our reader’ comments today, ‘censoring by the social media tech giants represents one of the grossest scandals and failures of journalism and abuse of monopoly power one can imagine’.
