SO, I had the lads from the BBC Moral Maze on to me a couple of days ago – do you think the war in Ukraine is a battle between good and evil? Well, I said, I am not very strong on foreign policy, so I’d rather stay out of that one. ‘But we want to look at it in terms of good and evil.’ I’d rather not, I said. What I was thinking was – you don’t have to go all the way to the Ukraine and invading Russian forces to see good versus evil.
Let’s take the new video from the ‘singer-songwriter’ Sam Smith, whom I will refer to as SS. I just want to be very clear with you readers (as you may have been subject to some serious gaslighting from the media who go along with his request to call him ‘they’) the latest video, his video, by SS, is a work of evil. It is disgusting. There might be some glitz in there – but it’s disgusting none the less.
Some things are complicated, and others are not. This is not. This video, which I have had to watch in full so you don’t have to, is revolting (and the lyrics are the usual inane drivel). It is disgusting in the same way that a dog eating its own vomit is disgusting. It is filthy in the same way an overflowing sewer is filthy. It is sickening and a work of moral degeneracy. Whoever made the video and put it together as well as SS intended it to be that way. And no, I am not going to link to it.
Now the media will tell you that if you object to this you are phobic this that or the other. Oh, you never objected to sexually explicit material before. Really? Social conservatives have been objecting to this kind of thing for decades. When we do so we are dismissed as ‘reactionary pearl-clutchers’. Well, you don’t have to wear pearls to recognise morally degeneracy when you see it. For the record, here is Kathy objecting to the over-sexualised images and lyrics of Ariana Grande in 2018.
I object to the very heterosexual smut of Fifty Shades of Grey here. So, we do object to the corrupting of youth. We do object to the attack on the cultural fabric. But, Laura, you might say, why do you care? SS wants you to get annoyed, he enjoys it. Just ignore it and move on. I object, dear reader, because we all share the same cultural fabric. We all breathe the same air, if you will. And even if I do everything in my power to protect my children from this kind of filth, other parents will not have the time, energy or will. And my kids play with their kids. Do you see what is at stake?
This kind of imagery is not normal and should not be accepted in a morally sane society. I make an educated guess that this kind of imagery would not be accepted in the public sphere in most countries on planet earth; but the West, intent on its own civilisational suicide, seems to think we should not only permit it but support it.
Morally sane people should commit themselves to the pursuit of beauty, truth and love. Morally sane cultures should not subject the next generation to disgusting hyper-sexual images that degrade the culture, human soul and the body. If you have a phobia about this kind of thing, if you have a phobia against this kind of ugliness, then you are the morally sane one. Embrace your phobia against filth.
The mainstream media continue to degrade the culture and the cultural inheritance of us all. They positively hate the beauty and innocence of youth, which is why they are intent on pushing ever more dehumanising images upon. This should be resisted in any small way you can.
