Don’t suffer in silence, speak out against the control freaks

-

PEOPLE living under tyrannical regimes go to dangerous lengths to find sanctuary in a democratic country. Each year hundreds attempt to flee the hermit state of North Korea, swimming through treacherous waters, crawling through tunnels and scaling barbed-wire fences. Between 1933 and 1939 a mass exodus of the Jewish population reflected the anti-Semitic brutality of Nazi Germany and, following the country’s post-war partition, those trapped under Communist rule made desperate bids to reach the West.  Over 100,000 escape attempts were made from 1961 until the Berlin Wall fell in 1988.

Yet what if on the other side of the Wall there were only more walls?

We are coming perilously close to this scenario. A global concerted effort to replace liberal democracies with authoritarianism is gaining speed. The rights we believed were inalienable are now mere privileges granted and removed at the whim of our leaders. The People’s Democratic Republic of Britain, formerly the UK, is on a sinister path of control and coercion of the population, the word ‘Covid’ justifying the restriction of movements and freedoms at any given moment.

Today it is no exaggeration to say that those who refuse to get with the Covid programme, vaxx up, booster up and show their papers are increasingly uneasy for the future and searching for an escape route to their old normal. There is only one problem: there is nowhere to run. France has descended into medical fascism at lightning speed. Sweden, Europe’s lockdown outlier, is now signed up to the EU’s Digital Covid Certificate. Australia? New Zealand? Antipodean asylums. Only a few American states, most notably Florida and Texas, resemble our pre-Covid world. For those who consider these states an oasis amid a desert of dictatorships the news is grim. The USA remains closed and future travel will almost certainly be conditional on vaccination status.  Unless you are willing to take your chances wading across the Rio Grande your odds of reaching the promised land of Texas or Florida are slim to none.

A harsh truth needs to be accepted:

There is nowhere to go. No escape. And no one is coming to save you. No cavalry is coming over the hill. No liberating army. No asylum in a land far, far away.

Then all is lost?

No.

Here are those to whom you cannot turn:

Politicians

Military

Police

Judiciary

Medical establishment

Church leaders

Academics

The Royal Family

Mainstream Media

Leftie libertarian luvvies

So who can you turn to?

Yourself. Do not remain anonymous a moment longer. If your resistance is going on only within your own head or behind a Simpsons avatar on Twitter, then you are not resisting. You are missing in action. Talk to those who are oblivious to government overreach. Challenge the propaganda that there is mass consensus and only a few dissenters. People conform because it is comfortable. People conform to avoid public opprobrium. Without the secrecy of the ballot box would a Trump victory have happened? Brexit?

Come out of the shadows and state clearly that you oppose masks, lockdowns and vaccine passports. Tell people that only monsters would vaccinate healthy children with an experimental shot for a virus that poses zero risk to them.

Put up posters. Attend protests. Make connections at every demonstration you attend. Speak out.

Finally, cancel culture is real. Use every legal recourse you can (whilst they still exist) to protect yourself and your livelihood but know this if the tide does not turn the inevitable is only being kicked further down the road. Refuseniks will lose their jobs, their homes, their bank accounts, their right to earn a living. Perhaps even more.

The time to speak up is now.
