WATCHING the out-of-hand, hypocritical and downright potty Extinction Rebellion protesters shoot themselves in the foot this week has provided some perverse pleasure.
Anyone with a brain should be able to recognise a brainwashed cult when they see it:
Sufficient intelligence, knowledge, and critical faculties to enable me to recognise a brainwashed, quasi-religious, millenarian, #eco-communist cult when I see one. https://t.co/hGATRfYzUf

Seeing our police kowtowing to the demands of XR activists in custody for takeaway vegan food should have put an end to any remnant sympathy for these entitled and narcissist ‘protesters’.
So it was hard not to engage in some schadenfreude as the BBC got its XR comeuppance:
I should not laugh but …
Let’s hope this will encourage them in more sceptical reporting (see @TheConWom)and less genuflecting to the Luvvies https://t.co/HCQRRWje36— Kathy Gyngell (@KathyConWom) October 11, 2019
Yes, it was pure pleasure to know that the BBC’s love-fest with the luvvie vanguard of the eco-army was for naught.
It was no surprise that TCW most-read blog – and my pick of the week – was Margaret Ashworth’s post on this – how the BBC simpered with the celebs as eco-warriers wreaked their havoc and as the police stood by. She caught the public’s indignation. The average decent citizen, whatever his or her view on climate change, has had enough. You can read her spot on comment here.
