Eurovision and a salute to the Jews

WHILE the UN stabs Israel in the back again with its General Assembly vote to admit Palestine as a full member, and ignorant baby Nazis take over university campuses, the people of Europe have spoken in favour of that little country in the Middle East, homeland continuously for thousands of years to God’s people, the Jews.

In the rather unexpected forum of the Eurovision Song Contest, they showed their support for the people of Israel who are fighting for their very existence against the forces of evil which are also increasingly threatening Europe’s own freedom and culture.

Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, plus Australia, gave their vote to Israel’s entry in the 2024 Eurovision contest, over and above the vote for their own countries’ competition entries. Israel also won the vote from the ‘rest of the world aggregate’.

Another seven countries voted for Israel second only to their own entries – Albania, Austria, Cyprus, Czechia, Moldova, Slovenia, and most surprisingly, the Irish Republic.

All the people who voted first or second for Israel’s entrant recognise reality in the world, and don’t like it. They see the injustice faced by Israel in the heaving corruption that is world politics, and the servile cowardice of their own politicians who downplay the genocidal imperatives of Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and the Islamic Fundamentalism that is trying to drown their cultures and freedoms in the abyss of Sharia law and all the harm and horror that brings.

So, perhaps there is still hope for Europe and the UK. Now we need to work out how to rally these people and oust the Judases in our own politics and replace them with people who hold as pre-eminent the continuation of our culture and Judeo-Christian heritage, and the national identity and traditions of our own country.

As for Israel, after the songs of Eurovision, here is a song by Aaron Shust that tells the story of Israel and its Jewish, Biblical history, and place as God’s chosen land.
