Excess deaths soar – but link with Covid vaccines is ignored

‘MASSIVE spike in excess deaths sparks calls for an urgent investigation’. It does indeed. The Daily Mail’s headline reports the call by MPs into Britain’s soaring death rates, with thousands more people than usual dying each week.

A total of 17,381 deaths were registered in England and Wales in the seven days to January 13. This is 2,837 above the average for the time of year and the highest number of excess deaths since the 3,429 recorded in the week to February 12, 2021, when the UK was experiencing its second wave of Covid-19 infections ‘and vaccination had only just begun’.

So who is the line of fire for the Daily Mail’s blame? The culprit is the NHS, of course, and for the Mail this is sufficient unto the day.  It may certainly be part of the argument, and you can see why it’s such a persuasive one. Never recovered from becoming the National Covid-only Service, beset further by ambulance delays and increased waiting times for ‘category 2’ calls that include heart attacks, people will be ready to believe this without looking further. What the Mail makes no mention of are the new heart conditions generated by the vaccine injections in thousands of those who might never have suffered from such diseases otherwise. Nor does it remind the reader of the documented rise in heart failure emergencies, the four times higher rate of these hospital referrals in 2021, the year of the vaccine roll out. Have they forgotten? As Poirot would have said, it is at the very least suggestive. Long ambulance wait times are a double disaster for such acute cardiac cases. So are emergency NHS waiting times. That a record 54,532 people seeking emergency care were forced to wait at least 12 hours can hardly have helped.

They can no longer put the excess deaths down to Covid itself, but Covid vaccine adverse events and deaths apparently are irrelevant.  MPs might ignore that data – not one MP, not even Esther McVey, acknowledged this elephant in the room – but for a newspaper to follow suit is negligent.

Worse is to hide behind a facade of objectivity taking people in and limiting the debate. Guilty of bias by omission – my question for the Mail is whether their failure to investigate and report the story fully is out of ignorance or self-censorship or both?

Contrast the Mail’s blinkered context with Alex Berenson’s report yesterday of the same news here.

The wider scene he sets, that the Mail ignores, is the death surge across the highly mRNA vaccinated countries this winter; how this compares with less-vaccinated countries that are reporting normal or below normal mortality rates. This shows that the British data reflects recent trends all over Western Europe, including the Netherlands and Switzerland (both countries widely reputed to have far better health services than ours). Which suggests our abysmal health service is not the unique cause.

‘Most wealthy countries that relied on mRNA Covid shots and boosters had non-Covid deaths well above normal in 2022,’ Berenson reports, a ‘problem that has worsened in recent weeks, in the wake of the fall Omicron booster campaigns.’

He predicts that with recent upward revisions, ‘Europe will now probably report more excess deaths in 2022 than either 2020, before Covid vaccines were available, or 2021, before boosters began in earnest.’

He points to Bulgaria, country which offers ‘a striking contrast’ having ‘among the lowest vaccination rates anywhere in the world, with only about 30 per cent of adults jabbed and under 15 per cent receiving even one booster’. Yes it did have widespread Covid outbreaks and high Covid deaths in 2020 and 2021. ‘But – as was widely predicted when Covid began and before the mRNA vaccines were introduced – it now appears to be running a deficit of deaths’, the most likely explanation of which is that ‘many of the people Covid killed were very old and sick and would have died within a year or two.’

Yet in the UK, the most pressing issue is the one that’s being avoided by MPs and the MSM alike is surely the impact of the booster shot. It should be top of the list for investigation, given that its risks are now widely agreed to far outweigh its benefits – from compromising the immune system to triggering cancers – with top oncologist Angus Dalgliesh describing it as anything but safe and effective and which must be halted, a call now echoed by the ever careful Dr John Campbell in his recent video.
