Four more vaccine deaths in the latest Yellow Card reports from the slapdash MHRA

-

WHAT follows is our latest breakdown, specially produced for TCW, of the MHRA’s most recent Yellow Card adverse events dataset. In the four weeks since the last release, 658 more people are reported to have suffered adverse events and four more with ‘fatal outcome’ – which means that doctors believe four deaths were due to the vaccine – and the statistic is now that one in 150 people injected experience an adverse event which the MHRA classify as SERIOUS.*

Yet again the Yellow Card data releases show that the MHRA has made no attempt at all to deal with its inadequate and unacceptable standards of reporting which we have repeatedly highlighted, or made any effort to encourage doctors or the public to rectify the under-reporting by a factor of ten which they themselves acknowledge to be the case. Doctors who are handsomely rewarded for administering each jab (which takes less than a minute) receive no reward for completing the complex and bureaucratic Yellow Card report. There is neither incentive or any appeal to doctors for their diligence in this matter.

On the sheer casualness of the MHRA we only have to look at the fact that more than 46,414 of the reports which the MHRA categorises as serious are of ‘unknown age’ – that’s 12.9 per cent of all serious reports. How is it that they don’t know the age of so many of the afflicted? Don’t they care? Does it not matter? The answer to both is evidently no.

On top of that, 406 of their reported fatalities are of ‘unknown age’ – 15.7 per cent of all fatalities – and 150 are of ‘unknown sex’ – 5.8 per cent of all fatalities. This too has been going on from the start of their reporting, a negligently complacent MHRA showing no concern and apparently no intention of inquiring into reports that come in without such information. How hard is it to follow them up individually, given its staff (whom you and I are paying) of more than 1,380 in London, York and South Mimms, Hertfordshire? Out of that number you would have thought a ‘task force’ could have been assigned to the problem.

Here anyway is the depressing reading – depressing, too, because we know the real impact across the population is so under-reported. How many people do you know who have suffered an adverse event and insisted their doctors followed it up with a Yellow Card, or given a refusal, managed to complete it for themselves? No one I know. What would the one in 150 statistic become if they did?

Editor’s note: These reports are painstakingly produced for us by Jenny Brown. Tomorrow on TCW she explains her motivation and questions why there is not more awareness of this critically important adverse events data, especially amongst those health care workers administering the vaccination programmes.
