IT has been revealed that adherents of Extinction Rebellion are receiving up to £400 a week from the climate protest group’s funds. This has led a senior minister to suggest that activists who have been paid could be prosecuted under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Should people be paid to protest and should such payments be liable to confiscation?
