‘I lived the life that I intended’ – if only we could all say that

The very well-known American conservative Charles Krauthammer has revealed that he only has weeks to live, following a diagnosis of terminal cancer.

We have not featured his work here at The Conservative Woman but Krauthammer’s influence and impact upon the American conservative movement should not be underestimated.

In a statement Krauthammer, who graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1975 despite a first-year diving accident that left him a quadriplegic, wrote: ‘I leave this life with no regrets. It was a wonderful life – full and complete with the great loves and great endeavours that make it worth living. I am sad to leave, but I leave with the knowledge that I lived the life that I intended.’

‘I lived the life that I intended.’ If only we could all say this at the end.

Charles Krauthammer is a great man and a great conservative. He will be deeply missed.
