DOM Cummings Derangement Syndrome is real. It was bad enough that Cummings was behind the Vote Leave victory, but once he sealed the 80-seat majority win for the Conservatives, the Lefties have declared him public enemy number one.
Dom is just too hot to handle for many on the Left.
Amazingly, the hostility to him has even made the slovenly Lefties declare war on Dom’s unkempt work-attire. It’s a miracle!
Behold:
For months, if not years, we have watched the same Left take issue with Jacob Rees-Mogg MP to whom they refer as the ‘Honourable Member for the 18th century’ because of his double-breasted suits. But now it seems that smart is back. Appropriate attire must return. This from the same bunch of people who applauded when the Prime Minister of the country, Tony Blair, made no tie and rolled-up sleeves the uniform of the new modern, hip, liberal politician.
These were the same people who just loved Jeremy Corbyn’s ‘authentic’ no-tie socialist uniform. I have to say, folks, I didn’t see this one coming but then this is the Left, where they wear hypocrisy as comfortably as Rachel from Friends wears a tight-fitting sweater. Both are a sight to behold.
Now before you say, ‘But Laura, didn’t you once write an entire blog about how you were going to vote for a bunch of men mainly because they wore a proper suit and tie?’ yes, yes I did. Very well done, reader, fantastic memory. I did pen such a blog and I stand by it. I stand by every word.
It is indeed the case that I am not a fan of the slovenly, dishevelled, I-just-fell-out-of-bed look sported by Cummings. If being conservative means anything, it means having standards, standards of decency, and walking into No 10 with your rear on display means you have no standards.
Dressing with dignity and decency isn’t really about you; it’s about showing respect to those around you, especially women who will not want to look at your bum hanging out of your ill-fitting trousers. But then the papers never stop telling me how Dom is not a member of the Tory Party and certainly not a social conservative. Nevertheless, he is letting the side down with this sartorial spectacular (not that he cares.)
Finally, it’s his wife I feel sorry for. I wouldn’t accept this from my own dear husband even if he was mooching around the house. But then he wouldn’t dream of wearing such an outfit because he is a social conservative and my husband. Still, no one’s perfect, so I guess we will just have to accept this from The Evil Genius. It does trigger a lot of Lefties, so every cloud and all that.
