This is a message from UsforThem, campaigning for the needs of children to be prioritised in decisions about Covid-19.
LAST week the Pfizer vaccination was approved for use in 12-15-year-olds. In the coming days politicians will decide whether to roll out the mass vaccination programme to this age group. (Individual children at very high risk can already receive vaccination.) The press have reported that, in a break from custom, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) are likely to offer a menu of options to the PM rather than making an express recommendation.
We believe that vaccinating children is unnecessary and that it poses greater risks to them than Covid does. Kathy Gyngell’s TCW report gives details.
Thousands have signed our open letter opposing child vaccination, which you can see here, including prominent scientists, celebrities, teachers, lawyers, grandparents and of course parents.
We must increase that number and make our voices heard.
What you can do:
Share this letter with friends, colleagues and fellow parents and on groups and networks where you think there are supportive, concerned parents who will themselves sign and share.
Send us soundbites so we can feature your concerns on social media. To do that, please fill out this form, telling us in a thoughtful line or two why you do not support the mass roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccination to children.
