We have had a glimpse of the identity politics utopia the Leftists want to impose upon us via the Kavanaugh Hearings. This degrading, humiliating spectacle is the future if we are not careful. And what did you think: were you not entertained?
Although one should be careful not to make direct comparisons between the US and UK, those hearings which saw a man and his family destroyed in ten days flat is exactly the kind of the thing the #MeToo mob would impose upon us given half a chance. I was watching the hearing and following Twitter at the same time, and it just amazed me how partisan the comments were.
According to Jon Sopel of the BBC, no less: “This is the most extraordinary testimony from #JudgeKavanaugh who wants to show the world he will be the calm, reflective, wise counsel on#SCOTUS – instead he sounds like a man looking for a knife fight. Is this calculated?”.

It seems Kavanaugh should have put on the stiff upper lip act with the prospect of having his life turned upside down, his life’s work and reputation destroyed and himself turned into an alleged rapist. Ten days – that is all it took to transform Brett Kavanaugh from a respected judge into a sex maniac who is now the discussion point in consent classes on the American campus. One allegation + me too + the media = boom, your life will never be the same again.
We should not forget, because I don’t, that a Labour Welsh government minister, Carl Sargeant, apparently took his own life after an allegation was made against him at the height of the ridiculous Westminster non-sex scandal. No doubt he was one of those eggs cracked to make the identity politics omelette. Who cares? Next up, Brett Kavanaugh.
I noticed on Twitter that otherwise sensible female commentators were 100 per cent sure, 100 per cent, about what happened between two teenagers in a bedroom in Washington 36 years ago. There was no doubt in their minds at all that Brett Kavanaugh was guilty. Guilty, guilty, guilty. These are exactly the kind of people who know, just know, that Tom Robinson was guilty, Robbie Turner was guilty, those frat boys in the Rolling Stone magazine story were guilty, and the Duke Lacrosse players were guilty.
What is even more sickening, what is even more frightening, is the blatant prejudice on show. For behold, dear reader, a new sex beast stalks the land. Decades ago in the Deep South it was the black man with his insatiable sexual appetite who was raping his way through Virginia, Mississippi and the rest of it. They were guilty because they were a certain kind. That is what the black man did.
Today it is the privileged white guy who is the sex beast. Like the black man, he believes he is entitled to female flesh, he lusts after it with a frightening thirst and there is nowhere to hide. Perhaps he is a frat boy who sleeps around, maybe he is the repressed Catholic kid, it doesn’t matter. As long as he is white, ‘privileged’ and male he is a rapist. That’s just what the white man does.
This is why I really objected to all the white GOP senators outsourcing their questions to the useless female prosecutor. I know why they did it: for ‘optics’. But by that act alone they have already ceded a huge point to the Left. Are we to believe that these senators are in fact a little rapey? That despite having mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, female friends and colleagues they will be prejudiced against Dr Ford, because they are men and she is a woman and, well, you know what men are like, and we know what women are like, and that’s that? Are white men all now rapists or supporters of rapists or like to cover up for their rapey friends? That is what they conceded and it was wrong to do so. They should have asked the questions, optics be damned.
There we are, folks – you have a glimpse of utopia and it is a degrading, disgusting place. My fellow conservative women must speak out against this madness, against this #MeToo mob that sees rapists around every corner. The stakes are too high to stay silent.
