LAST week saw some outstanding pieces of writing on The Conservative Woman. Laura’s post on the Covington School affair led the way – no wonder, given her accurate characterisation of ‘Smiling while white’ as the latest ‘face crime’. Expect stony-eyed stares from now on. How very friendly.
Also much appreciated was Timothy Bradshaw’s analysis of the questions that Remainers are never interrogated on by the media – questions they would be hard put to give rational answers to.
Ruth Lea’s authoritative and comprehensive analysis of the UK’s post-Brexit (in light of a No Deal) trade position was widely read; but unfortunately not by everyone batting for Brexit who could have done with the information. I mention no names. But if you are going on telly to explain why WTO is nothing to be frightened of, do your homework. The texts are here on TCW.
Chris McGovern’s bluff-calling of the EU over their shameless exploitation of the (trumped up) Northern Ireland border question also touched a major chord with our readers.
In the whole Brexit debate the EU itself too often dodges the attention and scrutiny it deserves. Janice Davis made up for that, by shining her torch on the latest prejudices emanating from the Super State. And, as she says, with friends like these, who needs enemies?
