Laura Perrins and Mark Steyn on the British birth dearth

IN CASE you missed it, Laura Perrins was on Mark Steyn’s GB News show on Wednesday night. He’d invited her on to talk about the British birth dearth – or as Steyn put it ‘the cratering UK fertility rate’ – about which Laura had written a terrific article for that morning’s TCW, headed ‘Children matter – it’s sad that it even has to be said’.

In it she’d questioned the extraordinary complacency with which Britain’s declining homegrown birth rate is met by the British media elite; they don’t seem to think children matter when there are enough migrants to replace the children we couldn’t be bothered having for ourselves.

In the interview Laura explains and expresses her horror at how in this world view children are regarded solely in terms of economics.
