IN a scathing denunciation, TCW’s Laura Perrins today call outs Britain’s biggest teaching union for its exploitation of the coronavirus crisis.
In a Daily Mail article, she says the NEU, acting with ‘breathtaking cynicism and self-serving ruthlessness’, is using the pandemic to hammer the Government over cheap political points – at a terrible cost to the nation’s children.
While other professionals such as NHS staff work on heroically, the NEU opposes the reopening of schools unless a list of its demands are met, practising the worst kind of ‘I’m All Right Jack’ trade unionism, full of intransigence and greed’, Laura adds.
