Despite serious sleep deprivation I finally got out to vote at around 5pm with a baby and two brats to accompany me.
Despite much hesitation I did indeed end up voting Ukip.
In my mind this is something of a luxury. If I was in a tight constituency between Labour and Conservative, I might have voted Conservative on the basis that I do not want to see Tristram Hunt become Education Secretary.
I walked in and was slightly surprised to find myself somewhat humbled to be at the ballot box. It is a privilege this voting business.
Many people, including many millions of women, do not have the vote around the world. I had thought of abstaining but I am glad I made my mark.
