Buoyed by their election ‘success’, the barefaced Left was out in force yesterday at a Parliamentary debate on the economy.
This is, of course, not true – the debate in question called by Tory Mark Harper focused on ‘balancing the public finances’ rather than on how to bribe the electorate with free stuff.
While dozens of Tories packed the room to talk about how important it is for the country to live within its means, only two Labour MPs turned up (one because he was forced to).
Tories joked that Labour MPs were “too busy spending” to turn up, but it may one day be your money…
