A biscuit manufacturer is preparing for a backlash from the bored Scottish Nationalists of Twitter.
Tunnock’s, the people who make the tea cake biscuit, have added the Union Jack and ‘Made in Great Britain’ to its packaging in order to enhance the branding for Japanese customers.
When they described their biscuit as “The Great British tea cake” last year, they faced an almighty backlash of people saying, “you know where you can shove your tea cakes” and worse. Amusingly, they netted a rise in sales.
Who would have thought it? The Tartan Army actually proving good for business.
