An MP’s column in his local newspaper is not usually able to stoke up a wave of anger, but that is exactly what Tory MP David Warburton managed to do.
In a move that infuriated Scottish Twitter, he dared to compliment the SNP group of MPs as “the best organised fighting force in Westminster”. However, he did put this down to them being “massively vocal whinge-and-resentment experts”.
No, the McInternet didn’t take kindly to Warburton comparing the not-so-jovial Jocks to a motley bunch of “rejected extras from a low-budget Lord of the Rings spin-off”, with one person saying “you are one racist man.” Ouch!
