Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has said Britain is in chaos after the stunning Brexit vote and should be given time to recover its footing.
“England has collapsed politically, monetarily, constitutionally and economically. It is not reasonable to demand from them to trigger Article 50,” he told reporters at the EU summit.
It is touching that Mr Rutte is so concerned about the current state of Blighty.
But if he is looking for evidence of collapse, he might choose to look nearer to home and at an EU mired in mass youth unemployment and mounting debts and unable to control its migrant problem.
