The democratic will of the British people does not really matter, according to Tim Farron.
The Lib Dem leader, with all the flair and authority of a Cumbrian teaching assistant, said that a second referendum on any deal is “the best option for staying in, it’s also the best option for the whole of our society.”
In a desperate attempt to go toe-to-toe with Nigel Farage, Farron claimed that Brexit will lead to “immense calamity to our economy, to equality”…clearly timid Tim is not familiar with the EU’s notion of ‘equality’ (a Franco-German stitch-up).
Brexiteers need not worry about Farron’s intervention, his dreary voice has less impact than a drizzly Tuesday.
