The trendy Left’s favourite soldier against inequality is headlining at a pretentious, expensive music festival.
Jeremy Corbyn likes to present himself as someone who stands up to the affluent and influential. But he will be on their side when he appears at the £240 a ticket Glastonbury Festival – typically the playground of Audi-driving people called Ollie.
Corbyn will be appearing on the aptly-named Left Field stage – the small corner of the Festival usually restricted to people called Trudi who wear hemp. He will be calling for unilateral nuclear disarmament alongside Labour luvvie singer Billy Bragg.
The fact that there is the small matter of the EU referendum at the same time troubles him not.
