A senior prison official has praised an extreme Islamic sect after radical literature was found in British jails.
Michael Spurr, chief executive of the National Offender Management Service, has praised the Deobandi sect as supporting “fundamental British values such as democracy, individual liberty and mutual respect” despite a leaked report finding prison imams – including a large number of Deobandis – have distributed extremist literature behind bars.
Amongst the delights dished out by the dodgy Deobandis are hate pamphlets encouraging the murder of apostates, misogynistic and homophobic leaflets and extreme Islamic literature preaching against British society.
