Radio 4 hit peak BBC when they ridiculed their token person on the Right yesterday – the supremely civilised Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg.
His crime? He dared to mention that he would “almost certainly” vote for Donald Trump if he was an American – such is his commitment to beliefs right of centre.
But this doesn’t agree with the Beeb’s diet. “Wow”, one of the Broadcasting House guests gasped. “As I’m a British citizen, I don’t have a vote [in America]”, Rees-Mogg retorted. “Good”, the guest hissed.
The other guest provided balance though, laughing at Rees-Mogg throughout the interview and claiming that he endorsed “extremism”.
Classic BBC balance in action there – ridiculing anyone right of the gooey, North London centre-Left.
