Theresa May has been told to ditch her high heels for flats at PMQs to demonstrate that that women should never “meet men’s expectations”.
The demand came from representatives at the Trades Union Congress conference, who said that “if she [Theresa May] really wants to advance the cause for women”, she should wear “sensible shoes”.
Until her recent elevation, Mrs May was better known for her kitten heels than her policies. Towering over the Commons has not done her any harm – TUC boiler-suits take note.
