A Canadian kids’ football league has gone full Trudeau – introducing a rule saying teams who win a game by more than five goals will lose by default.
Bemused parents, who rightly say that this bonkers rule will merely coddle sore losers, have been slapped down by the league who say they have “no right to insult or belittle” them.
Canada has been all over the place recently – legalising cannabis across the board whilst its elected leader mourns the death of a Caribbean tyrant.
Still, the five-goal penalty rule might appeal to the chronically lamentable England football team?
