Wasted trillions

Dear Editor

China, Russia, India and many other countries have no intention of keeping the pledges to reduce greenhouse gases which they made at COP26 just three months ago. Now Putin’s invasion of Ukraine dramatically increases greenhouse gases. China has already agreed to buy gas from Russia for the next 30 years and Russia has agreed to supply India with 40million tons of coal and will soon supply China with 100million tons of coal. This will give Russia the cash it needs to wage war. The UK has been importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Russia and by doing so is funding Putin’s war machine to the tune of £14million per week.

The £trillions that the UK has spent on reducing its minuscule 1.13 per cent of global emissions has been pointless. Expenditure on the Climate Change industry must be stopped and the climate gravy train derailed. We need energy security now and not have to rely on unstable foreign countries and unreliable wind. There is a wealth of gas and oil under the North Sea and the shale gas beneath our feet waiting for long overdue government action.

And the winner is . . . China

Dear Editor

The American Democrat Party has been particularly helpful towards Ukraine since 2014 (and helped the sons of Biden, Pelosi, Kerry & RINO Romney to some Burisma money ) into provoking Russia to invade. Sanctions and punishments are now being applied which will drive Russia towards China for financial help (who will want some of Russia’s resources in return). This will help China become more powerful (completely coincidently President Biden’s son has financial dealings in China; he was also very helpful in transferring the millions of an anti-Putin Russian). The media, politicians and entertainment business are all loudly in support of ‘gallant little Ukraine’ and Russia/Putin are now pariahs. Covid has now (strangely) virtually cleared up but former liberal governments are now very authoritarian – Trudeau and the truckers, New Zealand, Australia etc. Most countries are now bankrupt and business relies on the whim of government whether it survives. With the ‘green deal’ they all favour and are implementing, mostly financially benefiting China, have we seen the complete transfer of power into some sort of new world order?

Pick and choose emergencies

Dear Editor

The Yemen right now is being bombed back to the Stone Age by combined US and Saudi forces, with UK support. The humanitarian crisis in that impoverished country is beyond rescue. Aside from picking and choosing between war crimes, we appear to be selective about humanitarian emergencies, too. Why is Ukraine regarded as more deserving than Yemen, please?

Let’s hold a party at the War Crimes Tribunal for the US, UK, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia and China, the latter for its genocide of the Uyghurs. It should keep the tribunal occupied well into the next century bringing all to justice.

When Western governments strut their holier-than-thou and self-righteous stuff they can expect to be roundly condemned. The US/West made security promises to Ukraine that they had no intention of honouring. Ukraine has been used as an instrument to destroy Russia and Russia has responded. It has called the West’s bluff. It might be argued that a demilitarised Ukraine, free of Davos operatives and cleansed of corruption might bring  more security not less. This is the West’s war. It has unleashed economic and information warfare that affects the globe. Perhaps Putin should not have taken the bait but there will be no winners in this conflict. The best solution would be an agreed settlement between Russia and Ukraine, for Ukraine to align with Russia and for both countries to distance themselves from everything Western for their own protection. Maybe this might be dawning on Ukraine. They have nothing to gain from associating with the West. Then we in the West need to sort out the US, Nato and WEF as ruinous influences on our lives.

Contemptible Sage

Dear Editor,

What contemptible pieces of sh1t! Sage members do not have the integrity to admit they were wrong. This rogue committee should be disbanded immediately before they get another chance to wreak havoc on the nation.
