‘Convenient Covid’ strikes the Archbishop

Dear Editor

Much has been made of the apparent non-reconciliation between Princes William and Harry. However the interview Meghan and Harry gave to Oprah Winfrey was such a toxic mix of innuendo, gossip and complete untruths, obviously designed to hurt the Royal Family. How can they be forgiven unless they apologise? The strangest claim was that they married secretly a few days before the actual ceremony – something that must have caused offence to all those who attended as guests. I note that the person who actually conducted their wedding, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, has caught a dose of the latest strain of Covid, ‘Convenient Covid’ which strikes when you want to miss an engagement eg meeting Harry and Meghan at the service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

No reason to vote any longer

Dear Editor

Whether Johnson goes or stays is immaterial. The Conservative Party is fatally divided, has been for decades, being philosophically confused and consequently a constant change of leadership.  A Tory MP interviewed on GB News said there were no ideological and policy differences this time. If so, Johnson may as well stay. If there is a change, it should be an opportunity to dump Green and stop our insane involvement in Ukraine that is none of our business. Whoever wins will remain wedded to Biden, Nato expansionism and the globalist agendas of Davos, the UN and WHO. The elite do as they please regardless of our views.

If the Reform party had an energetic, charismatic, proactive leader, it could present itself as a credible alternative to the Tories and campaign on freedom. As it is, Reform is nowhere to be seen or heard. There’s no reason to vote any longer.

Will the SNP betray the public?

Dear Editor

The original deadline for completing the Scottish census was May 1 but due to a poor response this was extended to May 31 then June 12. This delay will cost taxpayers an extra £10million. Seems that wasting taxpayers’ money is an SNP trait. As at May 31, 326,368 households had not completed the census and if there are similar numbers after June 12 then there are fines of £1,000 for failing to fill in the survey. Can we therefore expect fines to be levied on at least 100,000 people which would raise £100million or will the SNP Scottish government find an excuse to fudge their responsibilities and betray the public?

On Monday TCW Editor Kathy Gyngell appealed to readers for donations. There was a great response and the TCW team were much heartened by the many messages of support. Here are a few extracts:

Long may the TCW thorn in the establishment’s flesh, grow larger, sharper and deeper! I’ll continue with my modest monthly contributions.

I’ve been reading TCW for about five years now, you’ve made a lot of progress, and it would be great one day to see you rival the treacherous Telegraph. The disillusionment I read from DT commenters indicates a genuine mainstream conservative voice would be appreciated by many – you seem closer to achieving this than most others.

Good luck – long may you continue to hold authority to account and question the consensus opinion which floods the MSM.

Thank you so much for all you are doing. Thank you, thank you for speaking the TRUTH.

Having recently cancelled my subscription to the Spectator due to its one-sided reporting on the Ukraine/Russia action, TCW will now benefit from some of that money.

I read your plea and my heart went out to you. I have responded with an increased ad hoc donation.

Your platform is absolutely vital, and we will prevail!

I just wanted to say you are doing great work – keep it up, I know you all will.

There have been times over the last two years when I have felt like screaming in people’s faces and shaking them by the shoulders to wake them from their sleepwalking but now I realise more and more that it has to happen in its own time for each individual, and the light that TCW shines on what the authorities are so desperately trying to hide is a hugely valuable part of that process.

Well done and buckle up for a wild ride over the next year or so.

I am certain there is something better at the other side of this and thank you for all you do.

Since I stopped buying the daily newspapers in protest, you are very welcome to have the money I’ve saved.

Keep up the good work and remember the saying of Bomber Command: ‘If you’re attracting flak, it means that you’re on target’

Please keep up all the hard work Kathy. All those insightful articles from you and your team are very much appreciated. As another has pointed out, TCW is both unique and priceless.

I very much appreciate your site from over here across the pond. You and the Daily Wire keep me sane.

You may not like asking for money but you do it well – as with your articles. So well that I am taking the time to write to say I would like to give you a small amount every now and then.

It is a genuine privilege and pleasure to support your wonderful work to shed a little light in this ever-darkening world. Keep calm, cheerful and carry on!

Donation made to help facilitate the good work. Keep it up, Kathy and team.

Wish I could afford a higher donation but you can be assured of my support as long as TCW is here to carry on the good fight.

Thank you, Kathy, and to your team and all those who contribute to TCW. You are truly a voice for us all.

If you appreciated this article, perhaps you might consider making a donation to The Conservative Woman. Unlike most other websites, we receive no independent funding. Our editors are unpaid and work entirely voluntarily as do the majority of our contributors but there are inevitable costs associated with running a website. We depend on our readers to help us, either with regular or one-off payments. You can donate here. Thank you.
If you have not already signed up to a daily email alert of new articles please do so. It is here and free! Thank you.
