Johnson is just the tip of the iceberg
Dear Editor
Truth is elusive. The most prominent but not exclusive perpetrators of lies are politicians. Most of us are equally guilty.
Johnson being the latest example. But if Johnson, who was the leader of this country, is a liar, what about the rest of them? If they lie about breaking their own rules, what else are they lying about? Such as wars in general and Ukraine in particular. The truth of the Ukraine war will probably will never be told. Mainstream media and politicians can’t be trusted. Whenever there is lots of money to be made from war by the arms manufacturers and construction industry, there will be liars.
Why and how this abomination started is shrouded from public scrutiny. Like the Covid plandemic, energy crisis and global warming, all profitable events, we are told only what the Establishment wants us to know. The principal liar is the Establishment and our fraudulent democracy.
Fortunately it doesn’t always work. Public intelligence should not be underestimated and taken for granted. For example remember Nixon and his lies about the Vietnam War. Remember Blair and Bush’s collusion and lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Remember the attacks on Afghanistan using the 9/11 attack (actually carried out by Saudis) as an excuse.
Wars can be ended only by ordinary people, and in Ukraine their greatest allies are the Russian people themselves. Eventually the truth will out.
Education and freedom of speech is where reform must start. Not by parliamentary boards to prove what we already know, that Johnson and many more are liars – most likely including those on the board.
Recognise the true enemy within our own country. Johnson is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s not him we should be investigating. It is the whole rotten, corrupt political and democratic system that needs expelling.

Thanks for plugging The Light Paper, Marianna
A reader has shared with TCW a letter he wrote to the new BBC Verify and the corporation’s ‘Disinformation and Social Media Correspondent’, Marianna Spring.
Dear Marianna,
I wonder if you have seen the Jimmy Dore video having fun at your launch of Verify?
Perhaps you should look at the excess death levels in the UK and other highly ‘vaccinated’ countries?
Ah, but in your world, that is ‘disinformation’, a bit like that of your friend at your unit, the one with the Iranian name (which escapes me) who photo-shopped a QAnon flag on to a Trafalgar Square anti-lockdown gathering (missed by the BBC, of course) right next to where I was standing, then posted it on his Twitter page, proudly telling us he worked for the BBC disinformation department.
We see you!
Oh, by the way, thanks for the stuff on The Light Paper. I have been meaning to divert some of my money to them. Your stupid piece on the BBC News has made me do it today.
I have seen a lot of The Light and I have never seen a remotely racist comment in it.

Stop feeding the degree-selling monster
Dear Editor
Universities are in the business of making money and if they follow this new agenda (Cambridge cancels civilisation, last Tuesday) it’s because students (or more importantly their parents) keep feeding the monster.

Holyrood’s green nonsense
Dear Editor
Patrick Harvie MSP will publish a Bill at Holyrood proposing that the ban next April on gas boilers being fitted to new-build properties be widened to include existing homes in Scotland. By 2035 the UK will phase out all new gas boiler installations but until then householders can replace their gas boiler with a new one. I recently did this at a cost of £3,000 as opposed to an electric heat pump at prices ranging from £15,000 to £23,000. The EU has already declared that natural gas and nuclear energy are green energy. If First Minister Humza Yousaf wants credibility he must sack Patrick Harvie, bin his Bill and for good measure sack Green Party MSP Lorna Slater, the Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity.

Mark Carney is to blame, not Brexit
Dear Editor
Mark Carney attributes our high inflation to Brexit (Daily Telegraph 27-06-23).
BoE forward guidance was flawed under Mr Carney’s tenure and he clearly accepts no responsibility for that.
Not only did the BoE continue with QE and low interest rates for too long, but too many coal fired power stations were closed prematurely – leaving us vulnerable to rising gas prices – something which he seems oblivious to.
He could to worse than reflect quietly on his failure in office.

TCW’s respite service
Dear Editor
I just wanted to say that, in addition to your own Herculean efforts, I greatly appreciate the weekly contributions of Alan Ashworth and his no doubt much better half Margaret. Their columns, along with the satirical submissions of several of your other contributors, provide an invaluable and very welcome respite from the authoritarianism, collectivism, mendacity and all-around irrationality (a low tolerance for which is the shortest path to misanthropy) that must, of course, comprise the bulk of TCW‘s content. Kudos to you all.
