Lord of the DVDs: Buy Jackson’s trilogy, which runs rings round Amazon’s travesty

DEAR reader, over the years I have been slow to tell you what to do, but I am telling you this now: Go and buy the hard-copy DVD of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Do it today. No, streaming it on Amazon Prime is not good enough. You have to buy it so that you can actually hold it in your hands. There is always a chance Jeff What’s-his-face could in the near future wipe the digital copy you bought on Prime.

I’m telling you this, dear reader, because The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is a classic, perhaps the last great classic movie that has not been destroyed by the wokesters.

If the monstrous Amazon production The Rings of Power – supposedly based on J R R Tolkien’s work – tells you anything, it is that these days Peter Jackson would not be permitted to make The Lord of the Rings in its original form. Do you understand that? The days of great movie-making are over.

The Rings of Power has been destroyed by the fandom. It was criticised not just for poor writing and destruction of beloved characters. This was not mere bad movie-making, this was trolling of the fanbase by Amazon.

Reviewers condemned it as ‘patently evil’‘the anti-Lord of the Rings’ and ‘a billion-dollar nightmare’.

(That review was watched 2.7million times).

Others described it as a travesty, toxic, an abysmal failure, terrible, pure cringe, and even ‘How Rings of Power Exposed Amazon’s Evils’.

This is why you must get a copy of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings

True to the books, Aragorn is depicted as the epitome of masculinity. If the trilogy was made today, the original Aragorn would be deemed ‘too white’ and would instead be played by – well, you know who he would be played by, someone who didn’t look, feel or sound like the Aragorn that Tolkien created.

All the characters would be destroyed, all of them. You can only imagine the butchery that would be carried out to this great, classic and ultimately Catholic work of literature, faithfully brought to us on the big screen by Jackson.

So buy it, and watch it this Christmas, preferably with one of your offspring. I am not going to tell you why LOTR is a classic, instead these people on YouTube will tell you why the themes, characters and indeed the music of LTOR is a must-watch and listen.
