THE US election is still going. If you want to listen to someone who actually knows what he is talking about, Dr Victor Davis Hanson, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, pundit, renowned classicist and military historian, has studied enough history to have some ideas of what might come next.
Dr Hanson is author of The Case for Trump, a book analysing the president’s appeal to millions of American voters, and in this Sunday Special with Ben Shapiro he gives reasons for optimism.
Hanson sees Trump as not only authentic, but a tragic hero akin to Dirty Harry, there to do the dirty work that no one else is willing to do. He also believes that for Trump, it will all end in tragedy.
