LIFE in the UK goes on even under Brexit-time conditions. While there have been demonstrations both for and against Brexit, there have also been demonstrations by embarrassed communists who hide behind the bogus virtue of environmentalism to try to impose a genocidal dictatorship on the British people.
Why genocidal? A low-energy-use economy as envisaged by the shamed comrades would restrict food production and distribution to a point where the population would have to be lowered by the state or there would be an economic collapse. Immigration would have to be halted to stop inorganic population growth. It would probably take more than an aggressive euthanasia policy to take the British population to an environmentally sustainable level where everyone can be fed. So the state would have to start deciding who lives and who dies. The argument then shifts to how this decision is made, if not by age or ethnicity. All I’m saying, be careful what you tweet from now on. It is probably far too late for me. Ah well …
However there have been protests by people other than closet genocidalists with form. Parents at some schools have been objecting to having their infant children taught about the activities and behaviours of certain sexual minorities. And this has raised a funny paradox. The protesting parents themselves are from a social minority, but ethnic rather than sexual. Which social group should Guardian readers side with? It’s obvious. They side with the sexual minority, as this is the object of ‘oppression’ by the aggrieved parents. It would appear that, in the balance of oppression in this case, sexual preference has more social worth than ethnic identity. The ethnic minority have, according to Left liberals, exceeded their boundaries and as such are now the oppressor.
The material used to educate children in minority sexual activity is a teachers’ guide called No Outsiders In Our School. It runs to 96 pages, according to Amazon.
It costs £25. For 96 pages. Don’t take my word for it, that’s what Amazon charge, and they often discount titles they sell. Not in this case.

Now, twenty-five quid ain’t worth what it used to be. But a pony is a pony in anyone’s book. And this comes across as daylight robbery. They’re having a laugh.
Except they’re not.
Apparently it is vital to this country’s social cohesion that ‘No Outsiders’ is taught to every five-year-old. That means that there will be quite a large uptake for this publication. Thousands will be sold at £25 a pop. There is also the moral blackmail angle where any school that does not buy at least one copy of this book is implicitly siding with the protesters who have now been deemed to have moved out of their mandated zone of identity and, despite their own various real or imagined oppressions, can be oppressed for this apparent social transgression. Owen Jones does not like them. Say no more . . .
If this book was so important to the cause of social cohesion with regard to minority sexual practice, it would be cheaper, if not free. We are constantly told that schools are short of money, and here is a possible explanation. The books schools are socially required to buy are being sold to them at rip-off prices.
It’s a racket. No one dares question anything about this publication for fear of being depicted as a social pariah by the right-on. And that includes the price. It’s money for old rope, I tell you. I’m in the wrong business . . .
