THE first apparent Covid-19/Net Zero-hybrid guidance has been released by the Department of Health and Social Care for the run-up to Christmas, fusing the perils of asymptomatic transmission with a readying of the national psyche for Net Zero’s manufactured austerities of cold.
The DHSC has launched a media campaign, farcical in the extreme, to highlight the importance of ‘opening windows for ten minutes each hour when socialising indoors’ to help ‘stop Covid-19 hanging around’.
The campaign is surely an element of the recent nudge project by the Behavioural Insights Team (the Cabinet Office psyops division) called ‘The Power of TV: Nudging Viewers to Decarbonise their Lifestyle’. If not then CBeebies must surely now have an office in Whitehall.
The idea of opening windows with obsessive frequency is to banish an airborne hazard the DHSC likens to a form of ‘Covid-smoke’, which it says builds up in the air as people talk. This while temperatures plummet as we head into winter or, as the season is now collectively perceived, the death months punctuated by an uncertain Christmas.
Naturally it will be only the nation’s frightened (my term) ‘strong compliers’ (BIT’s term) who will execute such daffy measures. Worryingly, though, swathes of the population remain terrified of indoor spaces, and signal so to all around them with their face coverings. So will little Timmy the window monitor and Barbara the office ventilation warden inadvertently begin training their peers and colleagues to resist piecemeal the challenges of the cold ahead of the heating emergencies of the Net Zero agenda, under cover of releasing ‘Covid-smoke’?
Although it is hard not to chuckle, the wacko nature of this latest DHSC guidance is naught to titter at. It betrays the utter contempt that the Government has for the populace under its charge and is riddled with condescension, insult, fear and opaque threats.
Already it is slithering its tentacles into our homes and schools as it did the previous winter, in an attempt to modify behaviour, maintain trepidation and ultimately ensure that the citizens of post-Freedom Day Britain do not get too carried away with any notion of a return to true normality over the festive season.
Bent on continuing the jail-sentence narrative that is asymptomatic transmission – an imagined spectre that will haunt the globe for ever unless exorcised immediately – the State is already encouraging its tax-paying vermin to risk-assess the number of potential plague-rats they expect to invite into the home this Christmas, to gnaw cheese by an open window:
‘In the run up to Christmas, as people spend more time socialising together indoors during the winter months, the potential for breathing in infectious Covid-19 particles will increase. The research showed that more than half (52 per cent) of people will welcome an additional three people per week into their homes who do not live with them, and almost a third (30 per cent) of households stated they will be entertaining more people in their homes than normal in the run-up to Christmas.’
This indicates not necessarily that there will be further restrictions on inter-household socialising in the festive season, but is the State’s way of cajoling people into self-imposing curbs on behaviour without need for external mandates, during a period it nevertheless once trumpeted as a new chapter of personal responsibility vis-a-vis health controls. We are becoming further ensnared in its web of coercion regardless of our ability to exercise free choice or not.
The water-torture that is the Government’s messaging apparatus is seeking to precipitate mass social suicide by reprogramming us to see our dear friends and family as biohazards: people to wash our hands clean of after physical contact, and whose chatter and laughter are to be purged from the home as if demons, by opening windows.
We seem destined to become the Nudge Unit of ourselves: the personal responsibility supposedly the foundation of post-Freedom Day Britain reworked to become self-mandated behaviour the result of mainstream media grooming.
Free to fly the suffocating ‘protection’ of our Covid-19 interventionist nest, if not brave enough to migrate to the warmer climes of normal human behaviour, we shall continue flapping straight back to it of our own free will; resigned to shiver exposed to the winter winds of Net Zero and its engineered fuel shortage alarmism, whilst the State busies itself sawing away at the oak within which both agendas are nestled.
The question on most sane minds night and day is: When are people going to wake up?
As darkness approaches, one’s core temperature drops to aid sleep. I fear that those still dwelling in fear will permanently maintain the core temperature of the nation’s confidence low enough that it may possibly never reawaken; whilst enough precious heat will paradoxically be released from buildings that those who let their common sense be likewise hoovered out, along with Covid-smoke, giving succour to the far more abusive climate interventions of the future.
Will this winter prove the coldest or warmest on record? It is certainly not going to be average.
