MORE than 40 per cent of the population have been denied non-Covid related healthcare, according to the poll conducted for The Conservative Woman. This means that around 22million people could have been affected.
This, just one of the Savanta ComRes poll’s devastating findings, was what Sunday Express Health Editor Lucy Johnston chose to focus on for her report, which you can read here.
No other polling that I am aware of throughout the pandemic has bothered to explore another of our key findings – the ‘ignorance gap’, the extent to which the public’s support for lockdown has been predicated on a false perception of Covid risk.
Over the next few days I will be reporting on this and other revealing answers to the poll’s questions, and the light they throw on what, to some of us, seems inexplicable support for the Government’s coercive and restrictive policy response to the virus.
