In a real emergency, for example WW2, there were laws against spreading ‘alarm and despondency’, and the government would come down heavily on anyone so doing.

However, in this so-called ‘emergency’ it seems the government and MSM are doing the panic spreading. One has to ask oneself why? (Rhetorical question.)
