Political cliffhangers on both sides of the pond

-

I honestly don’t know why the BBC bothers with the boring Archers any more, or ITV with Emmerdale, when they’ve got the Brexit soap opera playing out on the political stage to entertain us.

If it’s any comfort the politics of the great United States of America is not proving much more mature. The ongoing Brett Kavanaugh mystery suspense story – will he make it to the Supreme Court and if he doesn’t is cultural conservatism doomed in the USA? – which Laura has written about here – must have every John Grisham fan on the edge of their seat.

Be dismayed or entertained by the infantile, vindictive and puerile level to which politics has descended, courtesy of the American Democratic Party, the latest instalment of America’s new judicial drama can be read here.

Will this testimony be enough to save the Judge’s bacon? My guess is there are several acts to come before this drama plays out.
