In response to Kathy Gyngell: Tories want a deal with Farage, so why doesn’t Boris?

Boris spurned BP far more decisively than he ever stood up to EU leaders. Now it’s clear he’s a remainer who logically can’t deal or ally with a true leaver like Farage. Unfortunate Tory candidates on doorsteps will have to support and sell a ‘leave deal’ which screams ‘remain’ from almost every clause. This massive lie and slap in the face for voters can only ruin chances of triumph and even a working majority for Boris, and will then steadily ruin his premiership as his refusal to respect voters and restore UK independence becomes painfully clearer with each passing day. Churchill saved the nation and deserves his legacy, but Boris is selling the nation out to save his party, so no glorious place in history for him. The battle for Britain and a Parliament that bows to majority rule can only intensify.
