I reckon more than 17m people are annoyed with the awarding of the UK passports to Franco-Dutch firm Gemalto. This isn’t a leave-remain issue, this is about boosting the British economy and British jobs. We saw what the Tories thought of British jobs when they made this stupid decision.
Notwithstanding the security problems of allowing our passports to be manufactured outside our borders, this is about loyalty to the British company who’d had the contract for 10 years and a commitment to British workers. Like I said, that’s something for the country as a whole to think about, not just the 17.4m who voted for Brexit.
