Yes, it fascinates me. The reporting is so at odds with the general narratives of our media. It’s as if the Royals give some sort of permission for the media to relax and express our actual aspirations and joys. Rather like the Last Night of the Proms functions as a tiny opportunity to express the mildest of patriotism.
